The Deerness Hall played host recently to a superb evening of entertainment, all in the name of fundraising for local charity group "The Friends of Camoran". Entertainment for the evening was provided by

the KGS Big Band, Broken Strings, The Polka Dots and The Chair who played rousing sets to a packed house. Everyone tucked in to the buffet (with most of the food provided by local businesses and friends); staff from Tesco's joined the hardworking helpers and raffle ticket sellers; and by the end of the night £1,246 had been raised for the Friends of Camoran - a great start to their efforts to create community support and provide "extras" for local children and young people in residential care.
