The Friends of St Ninian's wish to thank everyone who helped with and attended this summer's hugely successful "Deerness in 100 Objects" project - a fantastic community effort of which Deerness can be proud. 

Since the end of the project, website updating has been a peedie bit lax (sincere apologies for that), but we are now back and raring to go! Over the coming week's and months, as well as making this site the hub for finding out "what's gaan on in Deerness" we also intend to create an archive display of photos and information on all the objects which formed the basis of this summer's exhibition. As part of this archive we would also love to record folks recollections of the project and would warmly welcome any photo's, comments or articles which relate to the project. If you have any photos or comments on any of the items, exhibition, cafe - or from any of the various events held as part of the project - we would love to receive them and you can do so by emailing them to us at info@deernessorkney.co.uk
